Well I am not familiar with Ghost Cast but I am sure you are using it to image a reference PC and deploy the captured image to other PCs. In order to do it properly, you should first sysprep so that when you deploy the image to a machine, it starts up without the individualized stuff such as PC name, domain association, and you can make it so that every user that logs on to that deployed machine has a standardized setup. In the meantime it retains all the applications you installed so you save time. If you only have like 5 PCs to reimage then yes it might just be easier to image them and then rename.
